What is the limitless chip?

The limitless chip in Euro Fantasy is a chip which can be used once throughout the tournament.

Basically it lets you make as many free transfers as you want for one matchday, but then your team will get reset to your original team next matchday. There are also no budget restrictions so you can choose whichever players you like.

The closest comparison to FPL is the free hit chip.

When is the best time to use the limitless chip?

In my opinion, the best time to use the limitless chip is during the group stages, particularly matchday 2. This is because it’s the time in the tournament where good teams are going to be playing against bad teams more often.

For example, in matchday 2, there are plenty of good fixtures you could pick players from:

  • Italy vs Switzerland
  • The Netherlands vs Austria
  • England vs Scotland
  • Hungary vs France
  • Spain vs Poland
  • Denmark vs Belgium

Players I recommend to go with from these fixtures (remember there is no budget):

Forwards

  • Mbappe (vs Hungary)
  • Kane (vs Scotland)
  • Lukaku (vs Denmark)
  • Immoble (vs Switzerland)

Midfielders

  • Bale (vs Turkey)
  • Insigne (vs Switzerland)
  • Wijnaldum (vs Austria)
  • Foden (vs Scotland)

Defenders

  • Pavard (vs Hungary)
  • Spinazzola (vs Switzerland)
  • Meunier (vs Denmark)
  • Zinchenko (vs Macedonia)
  • Jordi Alba (vs Poland)

Goalkeepers

  • Lloris (vs Hungary)
  • Donnarumma (vs Switzerland)
  • Courtois (vs Denmark)
  • Pickford (vs Scotland)

Is Matchday 2 the best time to use limitless?

In my opinion, matchday 2 is the best time to use limitless. The main reason is that France have their only real easy game of the group, so you can take advantage of their expensive players, you wouldn’t otherwise go for.

Big teams such as England, Belgium and Italy are also playing games they should win and will likely keep a clean sheet against. This makes it a very good opportunity to get some early points on the board with very likely clean sheets from defenders and goalkeepers. If there is a time to double/triple up on defences, it’s now.
